Pumpkin

Pumpkin is so good for our dogs. Pumpkin is a nutrient rich food that boosts the immune system of our dogs. One of the most common uses of pumpkin in our dog’s diet is to encourage digestion regularity. I give my dog pumpkin when he has an upset stomach to help him get over diarrhea.

Make sure you buy pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling.

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is an excellent source of protein and healthy fats, vitamins B and E, and niacin for your dog. You should avoid peanut butter with artificial sweeteners as some artificial sweeteners can be toxic for dogs. The best option is an natural and organic peanut butter.

Rolled Oats

Rolled oats contains lots of great nutrients, minerals and antioxidants that are beneficial for your dog. It is high in fiber and is a great carbohydrate for dogs.

No Bake Pumpkin Oatmeal Dog Treats

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter I use organic, make sure you avoid ingredients like Xylitol
  • 2.5 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey I use local raw honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • Roll into 1" balls.
  • Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and chill for an hour.

Notes

Keep treats in the refrigerator or freeze.
